Ethereal Battleground/Floating Island

Ethereal Battleground or Floating Island is a faction in Blade and Soul. Unlike Skypetal Plains, Ethereal Battleground have a hard cap of the number of players that can be in each channel. Once inside it’s not possible to change channel and it’s also not possible to taxi other players into your channel if it’s full. This ensure that each channels are not overcrowded.

There are a numbers of quests in the area but the most important quests are the 2 quests that rewards Ethereal Battleground keys. There are 3 important bosses in the area, the main boss is the Ancient Moonstone Dragon. the 2 mini boss are Blazewing Raptor and Icebeak Raptor. There is also a bonus boss Colossus Moonstone Dragon that might spawn after an Ancient Moonstone Dragon is killed. Icebeak Raptor and Blazewing Raptor drop a chest that guarantee 1 Ethereal Battleground key with a bonus for more key or moonstone and accessories.

The chest drop from Ancient Moonstone Dragon require 4 keys to open and drop 5-6 moonstone and a chance for more, while the Colossus Moonstone Dragon required 5 keys and drop even more moonstone.

Each boss will spawn 10 minutes after the previous one is killed, the Ancient Moonstone Dragon will only spawn after both Raptors are killed. Once an Ancient Moonstone Dragon died it might spawn a Colossus Moonstone Dragon after 5 minutes or it will just spawn either one of the Raptor after 10 minutes.

I don’t know if you read or reply to comments, but I’m on a server where my faction is really really small. No doubt we can farm it, but how does it handle with two factions? The large faction pushes out the small right away at any chance they get in faction areas. How do you think it’ll play out in NA?

There is a limit of how many players can be in a channel, so the best way would probably to get players from your faction to go in early before peak time start so that you can fill up a channel with your own faction players. I am not too sure if the other faction will be able to go in since in TW Cerulean and Crimson seldom fight each other. It happens maybe like once or twice during my time in BnS TW, other than that we leave each other alone.

Must be amazing. NA has ruthless players that’ll try to get in and flood any area if they hear an area has the minority faction. Then gold site farmers stir things up even when regular players try to keep things from being a mess. To NA players peace is where everyone is on one side. Leaves the game feeling dead outside of clan and friends.

It benefits everyone to simply work together rather than fight each other. Everyone loses when it’s all about fighting.
